Mr. Roxborough Michael Gamble was born in Detroit, MI on September 6, 1950 to Mrs. Mattie Gamble (who preceded him in death). Michael was raised in the Brewster Douglass Projects, and lived across the street from Motown Legend Diana Ross. He attended the Detroit Public School District, and graduated from Northeastern High School in June of 1968. After completing high school he became gainfully employed with Henry Ford Medical Center and was employed there for 24 years in various departments. Mr. Gamble later retired in the year of 2000 from Henry Ford Medical Center. He really enjoyed working, so he decided to continue to work part-time jobs even after retirement which kept him busy.

Michael was a bachelor, and never decided to marry, however he did thoroughly enjoy life. Some of his hobbies were dancing, singing, bowling and he was definitely a sports fanatic and he made it his business to catch every single football and basketball game.

Michael was a man of integrity and he “spoke his piece and held his peace” at the same time with everyone. He was a very transparent person by nature.

Michael was an only child, but he really enjoyed being around close friends, and his church family. Michael came to know Jesus and received salvation. He was baptized and received the Holy Spirit, with the evidence of speaking in tongues on December 6, 2009. He had a hunger and thirst for the things of God. He later joined Perfecting Church under the leadership of Bishop-Elect Marvin L. Winans whom he loved dearly and had the utmost respect for. He also served on the Usher Board and enjoyed singing in the Joyful Noise Choir. Michael will always be remembered for his smile and kind words. He departed from this life and ventured on to heaven on September 23, 2015 peacefully in his sleep.

Michael leaves to cherish his loving memories: A lifelong friend and brother of 60 years Douglas Fuller who loved him dearly; A special God Son/Little Brother: Adrian L. Thomas whom he loved dearly, he honored their relationship and trusted him in every way; Very Close Friend: Elroy Daffin; and Close Friends of Perfecting Church Family.
