Frederick D. Clark

Frederick Douglas Clark was born in Detroit, MI on April 26, 1952 to Frederick Clark and Flora (Hill) Hart, both of whom preceded him in death.  At an early age, Frederick accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior.  Frederick attended Detroit Public Schools, graduating from Pershing High in 1970.  He was an All Star Athlete whose trophies still remain at Pershing today.  He set records in cross country, played Basketball with the legendary Spencer Haywood and he even played Hockey.  Frederick was quite the ladies’ man, a jokester and he loved to dance.  In high school he was voted “most carefree guy” for his charming demeanor, he was lovingly called “Pretty Ricky”. He received a full Basketball Scholarship to Spring Arbor College.  In 1973, he enlisted in the United States Army and he served until 1975.  After serving in the armed forces, he gained employment with Ford Motor Company where he worked for 14 years.

On August 29, 2015 Frederick Douglas Clark was called home to be with the Lord.  He leaves to cherish his memory, 3 aunts: Bobbie Small, Helen Brown, and Sharone Hill, 1 uncle: Therie Hill, 1 brother: Percy L. Hart, 1 loving daughter: Karry Tate (John Conley), 5 week old granddaughter: Bella Conley, the love of his life and high school sweetheart: Deborah Tate whom for over 40 years he remained close with, bonus children: Keysha Tate-Dean & Zerbin Dean, whom he had a loving Father/Son relationship, Lashawna Tate, and Aaron Tate, 3 nephews: Kendall Hart, Jordan Hart and Percy Hart III (Tre), 2 great nephews, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and close friends. Frederick was truly loved and will be missed dearly.
