Gwendolyn Faye Moore-Williams, was born on June 11, 1955, in Detroit, Michigan to Bishop Samuel Moore and Evangelist Virginia Moore. Gwendolyn departed from this life on September 27, 2015, at Providence Hospital in Southfield, Michigan. Gwendolyn was affectionately known as “Prophetess Williams”, some of her other nicknames were, “Faye, Faygo, Mo Mo, and Gwen”. She resided in Ridgecrest, California for over 20 years where she raised her 3 children. Once all of her children left the nest she then migrated back to Detroit, Michigan.

Gwendolyn was educated in Detroit Public Schools, Cooper School for Tailoring, Highland Community College for Nursing, Clerical College for Computer Technology and graduated as a Licensed Computer Programmer and she was also licensed as a Real-Estate Agent. Gwen later used her Computer Programming Degree in the Naval Branch of the Federal Government as a Programmer.

Gwen received the Holy Ghost at the age of 15 under the leadership of Bishop Samuel Moore and Evangelist Virginia Moore. Gwen served as a Sunday School Teacher, Organist, National Prayer Warrior , Local Prayer Warrior, a Member of The National Day OF Prayer Task Force and Assistant Choir Director, when the church was located at 4141 St. Aubin, Detroit, Michigan 48027. Gwen always observed National Prayer Day yearly.

Gwen was remembered for her Jubilant Spirit, Prophetic Gifting, Singing, and her special love for her father, mother, children and grandchildren. She will also be remembered as a Soldier in the “Battlefield of Prayer”, which she was truly commissioned and called by God to do! Fighting her last battle on September 27, 2015, and winning The Spiritual Purple Heart Victory for her courageous stand in prayer.

Gwen was preceded in death by: her mother: Evangelist Virginia Moore; Her Husband: Bennie Williams and Brother: Samuel Keith Moore.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her father: Bishop Samuel Moore; Stepmom: Evangelist Catherine Moore of Bellville, MI; her children: Nickolas Williams Of Detroit, MI, Anthony Williams of San Diego, CA and Tasha Williams of Hinesville, GA; grandchildren: Desira Williams, Anthony Alvis and Darrell Williams; Sisters: Connie Jones of Texarkana, TX, and Joyce Moore of Detroit, MI; Nephews: Samuel Moore II , of Ann Arbor MI; Richard Moore of Westland MI, Johnese Wright, Samuel Keith Moore III and Kalive Moore; Nieces: Keashi Moore of Ann Arbor, MI, SaMaya Moore, Shanna Roberts, and  Sophie Moore; Special Friends: Brenda Brewster of Ridgecrest, CA, Susie Flories of Ridgecrest, CA, Lachella Williams of Houston, TX and Merle Idlett of Ridgecrest , CA; Godsister: Colanthis Jones and Evangelist Lisa Garner and a host of aunts , uncles, cousins, family and friends.
