To the family of Latonya Jackson, my friend and my colleague! My heart has been greatly saddened and I can hardly believe she’s gone. On the cold, snowy evening of December 24th, I had no idea at all that would be our last time to hug, to talk or to pray. Had I known that, I would have hugged tighter, talked deeper and prayed more. I did notice that she held me longer. In our relationship, there were no shady parts of her that I could detect; consequently, I am grateful for her honesty, for being so REAL. Honesty is refreshing and she didn’t hold back. The fragrance and memories of our relationship makes me smile and shake my head, too. Her passing hurts. May the Lord keep your hearts in the days to come. “Trust in the LORD with All your heart, and lean not to your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge God and He will direct your path.” Proverbs 3:5-6 I send my deepest condolences to the family and those who loved her. ~ Valerie Staten ~
