Willie F. Dennard was born in Atlanta, Ga.to the late Lizzie Mae Johnson and stepfather Charlie Johnson on April 21, 1934. Willie was the oldest of four children.

Willie was reared in a Christian home. He accepted Christ at an early age. Lizzie Mae decided to move her family to Detroit, Ml in 1938.

Willie was educated in the Detroit Public School system. He enlisted in the United States Air Force and served from 1952 to 1956. After an Honorable Discharge, he returned to Detroit. He began working for Greens BBQ on Mack Avenue. Later he became employed for Columbia Medical Hospital. After a few years, he became employed at Chrysler where he retired after 25 years.

In 1960 Willie and Marion met. Later he married his sweetheart Marion in 1961, and they shared 54 years together. To this union two children were born, Kenyur (Deloris) and Yolanda (Ardis).

Willie leaves to cherish his memory and follow his footsteps: “A GOOD MAN” that loved his wife and family. Granddaughters: Christina, Crystal, Cynthia, and Cierra; grandsons: Anthony and Titus; great grands: Aniyah and A J; brother: Henry Johnson (Veronica); sister: Deloris Mays; (one sister preceded him in death: Lucile Porter); brother-in-law: Pastor Maurice Cotton; sister-in-law: Minister Camelia Peatross; and a host of relatives and friends.
